We always research and shop around for quotes to get the product we want for the best price possible & service. Over the past 30 years, we have often ended up at Good Guys when purchasing products they sell. They have stocked a good range of quality products and offered very good after sales service on the very few occasions we have needed it. We have always been able to walk out with the product we wanted or have been able to arrange for good quality delivery and or installation at a reasonable price.
As with all large item purchases, we go prepared; after researching the product, we're looking to purchase and becoming aware of the best prices on offer in store, as well as online. Definitely don't assume online purchase prices are cheaper or a better overall deal. I have always been able to improve on those by negotiating in person with sales staff and/or Department Managers. They are usually prepared to negotiate on their in store advertised price also in order to better the best price you've been quoted by a competitor. You just need to ask. If not, you may have to go elsewhere. It's worth it as you can save a lot, particularly on big ticket items.
Don't be afraid to ask sales staff questions on other aspects of the product to ensure you purchase a product you will be happy with and meets your needs.
Excellent "Stereo" DVD / Radio! Basically everything Electrical that you may want, at a very good range and price! The staff are very polite and helpful! π πΌ π₯ πΊ πΈ π§ π» β¦
βββββ we were picking up a washing machine and dryer for our daughter in law (<$1000 package - bargain and worth the travel to collect). Good guys do deliver to Dimboola* (*at cost to buyer).
The store was well stocked with a range of white goods and household furnishings at competitive prices.
It only took 2 minutes of being instore before a very helpful staff member approached us. He kindly informed us we needed to pick items up from their conviently located wharehouse behind store. The wharehouse is hidden away but the staff member had given us great directions which made locating it simple.
Once at the wharehouse more helpful staff loaded the items on the back of our ute for us - amazing customer service, you do not see that level of commitment much anymore, it was a lovely surprise as we assumed it was our duty to load.
I cannot fault Good Guys Ballarat, they were prompt, friendly, helpful and items were priced to sell. Definitely will return again.
Recently brought tv and fridge from good guys and Offer says free delivery and installation of Tv, but driver left the tv unit and when call to good guys they took my details and someone supposed to contact us but no one contact. We call electrician to intall the Tv paid extra $100 and when we complain them they just doing dramas send us email proof and will see if we able to do anything. Why good guys do fake advertisements if they unable to do
We bought a Feezer in Good Guys at 24th Nov. From the Day 1 we received the product, we found the Feezer Door is faulty, it is too hard to open. We immediately reported to Good Guys.
Since we reported the issue to Good Guys, Good Guys has kept asking us to provide details of issue, images, videos, etc, and we provide all the information they asked for.
As the product came in as faulty, we requested for return and replacement. Everytime we called Good Guys, their customer support just kept telling us that they had escalated the issue to their manager for the replacement apprvoal and their manager would call us back. However they never called.
During the communication, Good Guys mention they can send someone to repair the Door. We explained to them that the product came in as faulty, it is not like we have been using it for a few months, wille paid full price for a brand new Feezer, not for a refurbished one.
The cycle has been like below since Nov(we called Good Guys at least 10 times).

At morning around 9AM, we call Good Guys to follow up our issue. The customer support promise that the case is escalated and their manager will call us during the day. But they never call.
Then the next day, we call them again.

We tried to ask for Good Guys for case escalation or complaint, but their customer support just replies that there is no such channel.
By the time now, our case is still pending on Good Guys
Absolutely disgusted that not one person could answer phone today'!!!! Ballarat store. I have a serious complaint about my JBL speaker. If you donβt give good follow-up why should we buy from you??? Never again will i buy from here even if I have to pay more. I still need my problem fixed.
Terrible experience. Paid for the 'Concierge Service', have waited 30 days for a repair. The store blame the appliance company, the Concierge service blame is for not baking them first and going straight to the store for the repair. Next time, I'll shop elsewhere and save my money on the Concierge service to pay the local repair guy is there's a problem.
This evening the lovely Naomi helped us buy a new fridge. From the initial contact to closing the sale her customer service was absolutely outstanding.
We spent a bit more than we originally planned to but the customer service just cemented our decision. Naomi gave us multiple options at multiple price points but most importantly honest, personalised opinions on each. She organised delivery and our old fridge to be taken away. The whole process was absolutely seamless.
